That's great, Justine!
I will definately start my little girl there as it sounds perfect! So pleased to hear you are starting out in Sg just like us and will be in touch once we are settled-chances are we'll bump into each other!
Many thanks

We are moving in a couple of weeks with 2 toddlers and will need to buy all our furniture pretty quickly. I like the prices in Ikea but not so keen on the furntiure...Any advice wou...

Hello there, We are moving to Singapore in 2 weeks and will be needing a sofa, dining table, coffee table etc. We would like to buy all we need from the same shop and have it delivered as we have 2 toddlers who can make browsing difficult at times. I know the easiest place is probably Ikea but I'm s...

Hello there, We are moving to Singapore in 2 weeks time with two daughters (two and a half years and 1 year). We will be living in Water Place and I was hoping to find a playgroup/ nursery that my eldest could attend for a few mornings a week as I think she'd benefit from time independent of me-she'...

Thank you Scotslass...

Your post is really comforting as we opted for a Water Place... I saw about 20 others and whilst I'm sure there is a perfect place, with the perfect mix, for the right money... but life's too short and so I'm pleased with our choice. We pick the keys up 23 Oct... (touch wood!) and can't wait. The su...

Hi all having a 2nd viewing at water place and sanctuary green tomorrow. will be working in CBD and Wife and two children <3 will accompany me here in Singapore for 2 years. Is Tanjong Rhu too isolated? worried about 'cabin fever' creeping in? Taxis are so cheap that it'll be easy to get to Parkway ...

Sanctuary Green versus Water Place? Help - need to decide!!

Hi there... I'm a brit with a wife and 2 young kids (1 and 2 1/2)... this will be our first overseas posting... I've looked up and down the east coast over the last couple of days and feel that Sanctuary Green and/or Water Place in Tanjong Rhu look good for families and will be reletively low risk (...

Best exchange rates... UK to Sing

Guys.... if I wanted to bring a mere £5-10k (GBP) into singapore... what's the best way to do this in terms of securing the best exchange rate? Natwest will sell at 2.93, but I see from OANDA.COM that the rate is nearer 3.09... that's one large spread, I'm sure I can do better... any thoughts would ...

that's great-thanks for your responses. my husband will be going out in a couple of weeks time to hopefully secure us an appartment but we are still undecided about where to live-i guess it will come down to the quality of the appartment as we like the idea of the east coast or holland village area ...

Great question Audiojunkie.. whilst pebble bay is very nice - a 1 bed place is going for as much as $4,500 - and that was my budget for a 3 bed place. Is $4,500 going to be enough for a 3 bed place?? I was sure it would be 3 months ago... now I'm not so sure! I do wonder if it's self-fulfilling... t...
