Stuck in Singapore for 2 days because of immigration, deported, than stuck in Bangkok airport because Singapore immigration took all of her money (no taxi money, not even Money for a bus).

You are probably right. I've not arrived there yet (Aug) but the plan is to keep the 'at home' wife & kids happy with a nice flat with a pool.

On this web site a lot of 3 br flats near the MRT seem to be 3000+.

Yet to confirm but this is the deal (UK bank)...
- $S130k
- Bonus
- Flights, 20ft container & $S15k for moving expenses.
- Medical cover for whole family
- 24 days off a year with a manditory 10 day block.
- 8 or 9 hour day
- no weekends
- weekend on-call once every 6 weeks.
- No housing allowance.
