Feedback from a friend who attended NUS's Mandarin course for beginners is that though pricey, it's very good value for money. High level of motivation needed as there will be loads of prep to do for class. Not for the faint hearted! But you'll get a thorough grounding in written and spoken mandarin.

There's a Coach shop in Centrepoint. Not sure if they sell the handbags though.

I used saddle soap (availble from equestrian shops) to lift stains from leather items.

Not sure if saddle soap is available in Singapore though. Maybe a generic leather cleaner would do?

At Cluny Court, there's a hairdressers v. popular with the Korean ladies. Sign in Korean. You can see the salon from the mainroad. Park the car at Serene Centre and walk over.
