That's what I really was talking about, I know the taxi drivers really don't care. I just think it's interesting that the government have this rule for taxi passengers (who most likely can afford a hefty fine) and to hell with a bunch of low-wage foreign laborers overflowing in the back of a truck. ...

I agree. Try to find a U.S. MNC that would hire you in the U.S. (at a MUCH higher salary vs. SG) and be posted here. Because you're a PR you probably would not get an expat package since you're local now (but doesn't hurt to ask). Good Luck.
