In the north of Scotland, where the 'wee free' church is popular...washing clothes and hanging out laundry is frowned upon also!
Whilst on holiday, they had notices to that effect on notice boards in the cottage!

Nice part of the country...but would imagine Warwick to be expensive, but Coventry a bit cheaper. Right in the centre of the UK, so probably a good place to be eh? You will be within 1 1/2 London on train, Birmingham within 1/2 hour and Wales easily reachable also. Dont know much about the Universit...

Practical advice- The UK is far more expensive than Singapore for most things. You could buy a car, but then the insurance, fuel and road tax would add to the expense. You can live in certain areas of the country and it is cheaper....the further north you go, the property gets cheaper...generally. Y...

I am not Danish but work for a large Danish company and we have many danish people here....so I know they would help you.
I wont advertise the company but they are the biggest danish company...so maybe you know them?

You have to be very careful what you write on here otherwise they edit it and dont say nothing....passing good information to others sometimes is not allowed as it contravenes fair advertising laws.

No he did not get asked to pay the tax only the fine!! He had no choice!!
I think they are over 10 dollars a packet, but not being a smoker, dont really know.

I know you can not bring in cigarettes here, only 2 packets I think. Someone I know brought back 200 from Batam after being told by the shop keeper it was ok!! He then was stopped at customs in Singapore and was fined on the spot 2400 sing dollars and the carton was cut up in front of him!! Best to ...

600 dollars a week you mean? I think it is a decent wage and can not afford/and dont have the space to employ one full time as I could not let her live in a rabbit hutch of a room either. I am on an expat salary and can afford silly low rates, but can not afford the rate I deem as fair...but morally...
