Recommended Places to Live in Singapore for SIA Cabin Crew

Does anyone have recommendations of a suitable area to live in Singapore for cabin crew? I've been told the East part of Singapore is most ideal because it's near to the airport and not to far from the city. Specific recommendations of HDB's or Apartments would help as well.

Many thanks.

Has anyone else from the 10 June KL batch of applicants heard from SIA yet? Understand that a whole bunch were contacted two weeks ago and some are still waiting because their academic certificates are not available yet. I'm one of those who has not heard from them and have not been informed of any ...

Macmeera, have you heard anything yet?

I'm still waiting...patiently...but just waiting for the email to pop in...

I wonder whether they processed all the guys before the girls, which is why the guys heard from MOM first. Hmm..

Pay Package

Can anyone tell me whether there is a difference in pay package during the 4 months training, the probation period and upon confirmation as a flight attendant?

Do allowances only start when you begin flying or during training as well?

Hi Ramz, good to hear that it's normal for them to take 6-8 weeks before contacting us. I suppose what's left for me to do is to sit back and take it easy where I am (but I'm dying for some change already! haha..)

What's your MSN messenger ID? I'll add you, if you're keen to exchange notes.

Ramz, I know who you are! haha..especially when you mentioned "Orangecake" and I saw that you're from Seremban.

So, your parents are okay with you joining SIA since you made it through so far?

Thanks, Wawaa. The reason I'm asking about the process is partly because I've read in previous forum posts that they will contact us two weeks after the medical check up. However, the letter our batch was given informing us about the medical said: " You need not wait for the medical results. The cli...

I applied for SIA and got through the interviews, including the medical check up. I was part of the batch from the 10 June Interview in Kuala Lumpur (medical check up was on 27 June). So far, I haven't heard from them yet. And am wondeirng whether or not to resign from current job already (one month...

Dear ang3lic,

How's the progress with your application now? Are you in training already?

I also went through the interview process and medical check-up, and am now waiting for them to contact me. This is the fourth week since the medical check-up, so am a wee bit concerned too.
