nutritionalist / dietician

Hey all, Been a while since I was active on this site. Back and hoping someone might have a decent introduction to someone who can help me out. My cardiologist says I need to lower my colestorol level...he's right, unfortunately. That cuts out meat, dairy, eggs etc. Was working on that but...... Now...

Interesting experiences related to a question about childbirth... we are expecting to have our second there some time in the next three weeks. a number of our friends have been there 2 or 3 times (to give birth not to go to A&E) and one 4 times already! that's good enough for us. Bonus point...parki...

little mandarins

we thought about enrolling our daughter at little mandarins. we called and had to leave messages a number of times. No return of call. AFter sometime we did speak to a lady who completely put us off. We asked to come and look at their facilities, and were told you can look from outside! Ok so maybe ...

temp solution

perhaps, if you have a "care giver/nanny" at home already you could pay for her to come and visit singapore when you move here. She would be able to stay on a visitors pass while you and your husband interviewed local helpers. I don't think it will take you long to find someone who can take care of ...

safety for kids

you know this thread should be higlighted as a must read. I made a, probably too long, comment on another thread where a parent was asking whether they should get a car seat for taking their baby home in a taxi when he/she is born in March. Err hello, surely you would want to do everything to make s...

baby safety

just a quick comment to snowqueen. We are expecting our second child in 6 weeks. Our first in 2 and a half. One thing I am sure of is that we will have a baby car seat for our next arrival. I have seen numerous reports of babies and toddlers being seriously hurt in accidents when being strapped to a...

my girl goes to sporty joes at turf city. Can't rate it high enough whether your kid is a beginner or more advanced they cater for all; although it is holiday season in July so no classes.

Plavt Sorry you are correct, there was no direct "name calling". I would, however, call it somewhat insulting to ridicule what someone else believes in. If a person has used and believes that somethink works, to tell them its is a load of rubbish, is none of their business and down right rude or "in...

We brought our nanny out when we came 18 months ago, but she was not bale to stay long. Just for those not in the know, Singapore has strict rules on who may or may not be allowed to live and work in Singapore as a Nanny/care giver. These postions are reserved purely for people from Asia. There is a...

ignorance

I find this thread more than a little hypocritical given that moderator who started this thread does not apply the same standards to his/herself. To quote; “There's been too much insulting, flaming and general childish behavior lately on this forum. So here's the new policy: Insulting other users in...

Centre Stage

Hi all Just wondering whether anyone has signed their kids up for lessons at centre stage arts school. If so would be very grateful for any feed back on their activities, good or otherwise, and at what age one could start to take their kids to classes. I have tried finding a website for them but the...
