Hi AC and Sprite, Many many thanks for the info and suggestions. To be frank, when my friend and I were planning the trip to Nepal, we took it for granted it would just be a normal trekking (of course we knew everest is difficult but we didn't realize the hygienic condition there would be so poor!)....

I haven't been, but hints and tips? It's the Himalayas ... in February. It's bound to be a little cold, I would think. I'll look forward to hearing from someone who has actually been though. Anyone has been to Nepal before? My friend and I are considering going there during the lunar new year (perhaps it's a bit late to book the tickets now ).

Any tips (on airline, hotel and so on) are greatly appreciated.

Was in Cambodia at the beginning of Dec when the high season has just started. So everything is not that pricy. It's a place you have to visit at least once in your lifetime!
