Topic: How and where to buy diamond rings?

Can I ask a 'dumb' question?

If the diamond is enhanced, aka man-made or Russian or etc, will there be a GIA certificate? Does the GIA certificate mean that it is a 'true' diamond? Does it also mean that it does not come from dubious areas e.g. Sierra Leone where blood diamonds are common?

Thanks.

My personal peeve is when thin (to my eyes) girls tell me they need to lose weight. I go "from where? underneath your fingernails?" Some of them are already so tiny, I honestly don't see where they can lose the weight. For me, I'm more concerned about how to channel the fats from my tummy upwards (t...

For good skin health, I eat evening primrose oil and flaxseed oil daily. On the days that I can remember, I take astaxanthin. All these 3 are supposed to be good for the skin. I did take some expensive Fancl beauty supplements that I got off the internet for 2 months before, but it didn't really do ...

I usually get my Spanx from frens in the US. Think there are some good Taiwanese/HK/Japanese shapewear brands but I have no idea where you can find them.

Would love to hear recommendations from other people.

Hi seasider. What do you mean by "hard" or "soft" water? Aren't all water soft in the first place?

What's SLS? I went to look at the back of my shampoo container and didn't see any "SLS". I take it that it's an ingredient.

In Singlish, I blur blur :o

where to buy shoes & bags for non-petite/plus size women

dear whatalark, thanks for the info. I've bought a tote from LL Bean before - their handles were long enough and the bag itself quite sturdy. The only thing I don't quite like is their limited range of bags - mostly tote or small bags, doesn't seem that appropriate for the office. I've just checked ...

Well, IMHO, Singapore's water is very clean and safe for consumption straight from the tap. As to whether the water should pass through a filter, will be up to the individual. Boiling water for consumption, if you're not allergic, is probably a waste of electricity. I do know however, that a fren's ...

where to buy shoes & bags for non-petite women

Hihi... I've come to realise that many of the shoes in the market don't do it for me anymore. Most of the ladies' shoes under S$80 e.g. Charles & Keith, Tangerine, URS, etc, have thin soles. And don't get me started on finding sizes or the right width. I end up feeling tired after a day of walking a...

I think perm maintenance depends on the type of perm you have. I've permed my hair twice within a 1 year period, and found my curls to be "relaxing" after the 3rd month or so. But I have colleagues who perm once a year and their curls are still ok. I think the longest wearing is the ceramic perm. Fo...

Hi, actually departmental store cosmetic brands like Estee Lauder, YSL, Kose etc, will periodically come up with promotions where you pay $X (e.g. $60) for a make-up class but the entire amount is redeemable for that brand's products. Bobbi Brown was also running a course of 4 make-up classes last y...
