As a backup solution, does anyone know Penang Hotel and Cactus Hotel (both in Jalan Besar)? A double room costs S$69 in both of them.

And in my job I will be travelling outside Singapore for the whole week so I will be in my flat just from friday evening to maybe monday morning (except the first 2-3 months). So I don't mind a long distance to CBD since I will not be going...
