Thanks Ecureilx for your constructive legal advice. I did read another entry where someone politely and clearly explained that Starhub waived their fees in a similar situation. I'm not planning on doing a runner, I am simply asking if anyone else has managed to negotiate the termination fees with Si...

Terminate Singtel Contract due to relocation Overseas??

Hi All, Hoping some legal whizz can help me here. My wife is locked into an upgraded 24 month Singtel contract (new Blackberry handset + data plan) which she signed in April 2011. We are now relocating to Macau in November and Singtel are trying to charge her a fortune in Contract Termination Fees. ...

Hi KOTW, My condo is called Aston Mansions near Paya Lebar MRT. It's a small condo (less than 100 units), 9 years old, but doesn't have squash courts. I saw some places further out on the East Coat (namely Bayshore Park, Mandarin Gardens) which have full facilities including squash courts but they a...

London Lad, I just arrived in Singapore from Beijing and had exactly the same problems as you are facing (I got here 2 weeks ago!). Just to emphasis what the others have said, you CAN indeed get a condo with facilities for less than SGD$3000, but not within walking distance of the CBD and you may ha...

Just to let anyone know who is interested. I have now arrived in Singapore and found a nice 2-bedroomed apoartment in a condo near Aljunied/Paya Labar MRT station for S$2,500/month. Condo includes pool, tennis and a few other bits and bobs and is 15mins MRT from my office in Boat Quay!

Cheers SMS, Thanks for that. So basically head out a bit farther, is that right? I haven't arrived in Singapore yet, but I am seeing adverts on sites for places in Marine Parade, East Coast (3 beds, SGD$2,600) or Jellicoe Road, (1 bed, SGD$3,000), should I be wary of something?? A Spanish friend rec...

Condo for $2.5K?

Hi All, I'm moving from Beijing to Singapore in a few weeks time, and have read some of your input here with great interest. As per usual, the main concern is accommodation. I don't know Singapore at all. I'll be working in Boat Quay and would like a 1 or 2-bed condo 15-25mins from there on a budget...
