Hey Hithnar. Glad to see you happy with your first week of work. Hope it's still going well. Can't believe it only took 4 days for your DP LOC to get approved. We moved here from New Zealand and my pass took nearly 8 weeks for approval from the day of my interview the same day they offered me the jo...

Yes nurses pay here is incredibly bad compared to what I was use to (luckily tax is much less here though), I am not sure for a private hospital but in a public one don't expect more than $2400 to $2800 per month depending on experience, new grads here only start on $1600 t0 $1700, Sing dollars of c...

Dear Jaws, Thank you very much for your advice, has been really helpful. I would PM you but I can't seem to access that yet. I am sorry you have had a bad experience so far job hunting and you're going home, what a shame and loss of skill for Singapore especially since they seem very short of nurses...

One on one Martial Art cross-training? (Teach each other)

Hi My name is Raymond, and I'm looking for a training partner. I have a mixed Martial Art background. Recently (for 18 months) I have been training in Balintawak, a very effective form of Filipino stick-fighting (and empty hand). I'm looking for someone, preferable with a blackbelt grade, to train w...

Hello Vivian, I am also a foreigner in Singapore but from Hong Kong. I also had trouble securing any job opportunities when applying from overseas. I applied to many positions prior to coming with only minimal response. Now that I am actually in Singapore it has been much easier and have had lots of...

Hi there,

Very nice to hear from you. Is your girlfriend a nurse too?? Where is she from? I finally had a job offer but looks like it will take many weeks to process so wish me luck. I would love to meet up with your girlfriend during the day when she is free. Let me know what she thinks : )

Thanks
