kennels/cattery for quarantine?

Any recommendations for who to care for my cat during quarantine?
I know there are several choices. The names that have been mentioned to me are Pet Movers and Mitchville Kennels. Does anyone have any experience with either?

hk

I think you used to be able to, but now it is only marginally better. I have a friend who just moved there from Tokyo. Many times she can't see the house across the street! And she IS on the Sside of the island!

agents...

Okay, maybe if I phrase it this way it will help you understand my ignorance a bit... Does a tenant's agent not have any property listings of their own? Otherwise, they then wouldn't be a tenant's agent now would they? They would be a landlord's agent as well. (??) And, if they don't have their own ...

landlord's agent vs tenant's agent?

Quick question:
I thought there were only landlord's agent's in Singapore. Someone mentioned to me today something about a "tenant's agent". Are there such agents in Singapore? If so, are there certain advantages or disadvantages to either one?

renting or leasing a car?

How much should we expect to spend on leasing a car in Singapore?
As we have young children, I am sure we would want the typical 7 or 8 seater for a family. Any ideas?

Compare: Aberdeen Marina Club, HK?

Okay, since I got no response on my origianl question about social clubs. I just thought I might ask it in a different way! Is there a club in Singapore that has facilities that compare with the Aberdeen marina Club in Hong Kong? We REALLY miss that club and were hoping to find a similar club in Sin...

worried mum

From what I understand it is exactly the Singporeans in your situation that actually get permission to go to International school. If he has already been in an international school setting for 7-8 years, then you'll probably find it is likely they will let him do so. Good Luck!

social/recreation clubs?

I was wondering about the country clubs in Singapore. Which one is actually the best in terms of facilities for kids (not really activities, but facilities)? I have visited the American Club and wasn't impressed! It seemed a bit dirty and had no playground, inside or out. Any ideas???

pet quarantine?

We have a cat and I understand that she will have to stay in quarantine for 30 days when we move to Singapore. She was in quarantine for 2 weeks in Japan and did fine. However, we paid more for a larger cage and the animal quarantine staff here is known to take very good care of your pets. My cat al...

decision

Thanks everyone for all of your advice! We have decided to go with SAS and feel very good about it. UWC was not willing to discuss alternate grade placement for my child, so that one was immediately ruled out (not very flexible or interested in individual students needs!). I have heard nothing but g...

Housing and schools question

My family is being moved from Tokyo to Singapore this summer. I have already been on one house hunting/school hunting trip to Singapore and have 2 questions. 1. How negotiatble is the housing market right now in Singapore? If someone is asking $15k sing dollars for a house, what can you actually get...
