Does anyone know which or if any of these bus lines would have a group of four seats with them facing each other? Essentially two seats with the other two seats backwards and possibly a table in the middle. I ask since I would be traveling as a group of four and we could chat for the duration of the...

Bus from Singapore to KL - Best Comfort

I am looking to try to take the bus from Singapore to KL since the flight with transit to and from the airport plus customs etc seems like it will be very close to the speed of a bus. Comments? If I choose to take the bus I would be looking for a luxury bus for myself and three friends where we coul...

I think then it would be perfect for all to clear any misconceptions if you could please provide "rough" guidelines for all for international and local school pay. There any many people who try to glean information out of this forum and for someone to provide accurate information, such as yourself, ...

While my specific job may not be available there are jobs that are in the range which have a posted salary. Hence, when I found the SAS's website that is where I got a rough idea. The initial amount of approx $200,000 sounded high to me as it did to MANY others. I am not saying that teachers are not...

To give you an alternate viewpoint. I had stayed in Batam for two months while I did some training and returned to Singapore to my condo on the weekends. There are two main ferry terminals to go over to Batam with. The ferry takes 45mins from Tanah Merah to almost 1hr 20mins from Harbor Front ferry ...

I was able to find this link http://www.sas.edu.sg/career/faculty.html which would indicate that the top teachers could earn - S$104,000 plus housing and their children's schooling. Thus, it could seem plausible that if the children's schooling was what you quoted and as found on the above website o...

I fully understand that the amount I quoted is near the top end of the pay and understand that the two major expenses she will incur will likely be rent and schooling for her children. However, I have read in these forums and elsewhere that teachers in Singapore get paid approx $40k plus rental allo...

Best Climbing Gym ?

Just inquiring about where the best gym is. Best could vary but generally I am looking for a gym with more walls and would be willing to pay for this instead of a cheap gym with only a few walls.

I am located near Dhoby Ghaut and thus if the gym is close to a mrt that is definitely better.

The last post of $8500/month and housing of $2500 seems quite high. Assuming that to be correct then a single person would earn just over 100k per year excluding the 2000*12 or 24k housing allowance. Then to top that off you have a foreigners allowance of just over 1k per month. Thus a single person...

The general consensus is that Tioman is touristy and that Redang is "less" touristy. Thus, I believe that Berjaya Air is the main way to get into these islands but the flights end up costing almost S$1,200 for two people! Thus, the dilemma is that while the prices on the islands are not too expensiv...

I had posted that company on the original post. Hence, I was looking for an alternate. They are good but have a few issues with me. First, the deal is for cash and carry only - I do not have a car. Second, you must order at least two cases and it must be at least a day in advance - I do not really w...
