Tessa is gone. :(

Just want to post a note that Tessa (Minkcoat, DaHostess) has passed away suddenly. Think it was a heart attack. :( Sorry I don't have more details.

Unless he has proof of unreasonable behavior or adultery, he cannot force an "immediate" divorce. However, he can still file for separation and leave. Speak to a lawyer to check your legal rights and also see if you can make him sign anything to say he will pay. Your husband may agree to pay everyth...

Is anyone interested in organizing a brunch event? I ask because Qatarbabe is away for a few weeks, and Poc4hontas has been busy. I did one last week, but if people are interested in organizing one this Sunday, or the one after, I/we'd be more than happy to support. Any volunteers? Would you like t...

Hehe... I don't find Jurong inconvenient either... We have good infrastructure compared to many SG estates. Maybe that's why Jurong remains a stronghold of the ruling PAP. I chose to buy my apartment here also because it is way bigger than what's offered for similar prices elsewhere in SG. And I li...

Re: Ice hockey in Singapore

Hello, will be re-locating to Singapore sometime in summer this year and wanted to know where in Singapore I can play ice hockey. Did some quick internet search and found JCube and Kallang Ice World, but someone in a previous post mentioned that Kallang does not allow ice hockey skaters, and wanted...

Many years ago, (in the '80's) the taxi drivers would not go to Jurong either. In fact, even if you flagged on down on the street the taxi driver would usually roll down the window and ask you where you wanted to go. If you said Jurong they would say no and drive off. Nothing've changed, same story...

Re: Relocating to Singapore - where to live?

I will be relocating to Singapore from Hong Kong in early June. My office is somewhere near Raffles Place. I'm a single female and don't have much idea about Singapore. Any suggested neighborhood to live in? 1. around 30 minutes commute 2. budget is around S$2 - 2.5K 3. close to MRT Also, what's th...

what would you say are the "must do" things in Singapore? 1. Dine in a HAWKER CENTRE and KOPITIAM - try Chilli Crab, BBQ stingray, Laksa, Fried Kuey Teow and many more local yummies. 2. Drink Tiger Beer, Kopi Siu-Dai, Teh-C... oh and YEO's Chrysanthemum Tea :D 3. Party - just pick some places @ Cla...
