I'm flexible - usually Party World. The song selection is pretty good, they have a lot of outlets and it's quite a bit cheaper during the day.

As I am also searching for a new place by the end of the year. I have been reading a lot of ads recently. To the surprise of many here there are a LOT of landlords offering one-year leases at the moment. Probably the greed factor creeping in of hoping rents will go even higher in a year.

15 cheques a month? Wow, that's like one every other day and it takes you like one minute to write a cheque? Every other day? I didn't know life here in Singapore could be soooooooo challenging.

If this is the case, why do they never code-switch when they're talking to me? Or is a 95kg white man not foreign-looking enough for them? A lot of them don't bother or have lost that ability as well. IMO the switching majority switches between code1 Singlish (more Singlish loaded) and code2 Singli...

I don;t actually own them. I was intending to buy them there (the price is very reasonable) and have them sent here but am finding the trsnport quotation a bit high

Thanks but they're quite high value speakers and I wanted them to work when they get here and was hoping to get something in the range of EUR 100-150

Anyone have any connections to et one pair of speakers transported from France to Singapore. So far the lowest quote obtained in France was EUR 450 for transport.

Anybody have anything lower?
