I need you advice kind people! I know I might be overreacting on this, but please hear me out and give your opinions: I am on DP and have been working in a local company for a year, with a Letter of Consent. Two weeks ago, my husband got a proposal from his Singaporean employer to go to Qatar for a ...

I will be moving out from my current appartment in 2 months, and when I announced that to the Landlord, all of the sudden he offered he is willing to actually steep down $200-400 from the rent. Greedy bastard! Last year he was crying an whining how he is actually doing me a favor with only "$1800 re...

Actually, being cool and not worrying about it might not be the way :P I actually got an official comment from my boss, that as much as they understand I'm a sweaty angmo, they don't tolerate that in office. Seriously, very embarrassing to hear your boss tell you to come to work by taxi :|. I have a...

Hi Robstar! If you are a single white male, dun worry about social life - you will have a lot of girls interested in you :P For me I am definitely happy I moved to Singapore. But I moved from a really dangerous and poor country, so I appreciate living in a developed economy and society. But as some ...

Hi, I have a double degree and one of them is Political Science.. From my humble experience I can only tell you that Political Science ( especially acquired abroad) is not well perceived in SG. Maybe because politics here is considered a very uneasy topic, and outsiders with their free thinking view...

But I guess thats one thing I gotta accept. It still irks me to know that others earn more, but that just sh...

Honestly, I'm sorry to be harsh, but get over it. As SMS says, you don't have to endure it if you don't want to. Thats partially why I needed to ask you guys for another opinion. I'm already looking around for alternative job options, but if 2k is what I will get regardless of the employer, then I ...

Addadude, thx for all your words. But I feel I need to clarify myself once more: I feel cheated cuz during the negotiation process I got the impression that I will eventual earn more (and my employer did nothing to disperse that impression). I knew the average is 2500 SGD for marketing executives, a...

Let me explain bit bout the double Masters.. I started doing Political Science, but it felt very meek in terms of background knowledge in economics, maths or marketing, so I signed up for Marketing&Management track at another uni. Ended up specializing in political marketing ;) I guess I agreed to 2...
