You can apply for a removal of exclusion after 2 years of no attack from asthma, if not you can also apply with other insurance companies to get a better medical underwriting result given you have not had a asthma attack for past 5 years. The Scary part of local medical plans ( I.E plans from Raffles, NTUC , Prudential ) is that they do not offer LOG ( Letter of guarantee ) nor provide Pre-authorisation for foreigners.
