Next update! Btw - literally the wallet and all it's contents were at home! (worse move of the month) or else I'd have given him any ID he wanted. I'm not greedy with those, promise! My wife just spoke with the management team there who seem very helpful and kind. A quick story: You go to a restaura...

Shop around on the leasing agents and do let them know you are comparing. We leased our first car (Honda Odessy) and didn't have to put anything down but the monthly was higher. Our second car was more down but the monthly was a lot less. We saved probably 25% from the initial quote after negotiatin...

Quote: 'The 'all Europeans are babies' part wasn't as bad as the 'shoo, away with you'. We were totally embarrassed by this. Really, we'd showered and everything so we weren't unclean or dodgy looking'. I would say that you are unclean, in the sense of the verbal abuse you dished out. So maybe befor...

EastCoastFun I happened to be there on Monday night and witnessed your sorry episode. Luckily for you and everyone else on this forum, I can give an exact account of what I and other residents saw and it differs somewhat from yours. What I witnessed was an extremely arrogant and aggressive person a...

Lol... that had us laughing! Okay, we'll let you in but only if you make the proper bows, treat as godlings and bring tastey biscuits. Well, even if you just bring the biscuits we might no shoo you away! What flavor? -- now we are looking for a good wine shop in the east coast area... any suggestion...

The Update

Here is the update on our wonderful Cote d'Azure experience - It seems that maybe our security gaurd was mad at the agent and not us? He had planned to let us in with the agent coming (that is why he let us wait for the agent) but 'didn't like the agent's attitude' so denied us entry. My wife did go...

Thanks for the reply. Don't want to whine too much as it was just a one-off. We love the east coast. We've always lived either downtown or over by the american club. Now we're able to get a good morning run along the coast without melting. Wish we were here earlier. The weather feels cooler and gett...

ksl - absolutely agree with you on why it is necessary to have the rule and to enforce it. No argument. If he had said 'Sorry, even with one ID we can't let you in, you all must have IDs.' Then we would have understood and left. But he said we only needed one per car. I specfically asked him if we h...

Cote d'Azure - Security Guard

I don't normally post to forums but my wife and I were so utterly shocked that I have to ask if anyone has had a similiar experience. We were meeting our real estate agent at Cote d'Azure to view some apartments there. Unfortunatly my wife and I were running late and didn't have our IDs with us. The...
