British Schooling

Also it depends how long you are likely to stay, are you only interested in British schooling? If it's a short move of a year or two after which you return to the UK then I agree that sticking with the British system is best, however if you are staying longer or are likely to move elsewhere afterwar...

I also found ISS very helpful, I think United World College is prefered by many because of the facilities and I feel it is very academic and elitist. I have three children to fit in at different grade levels, all have different strengths and I don't feel that United World will suit them all. Two of ...

IBO org

If you go here www.ibo.org you can get a list of all the schools that offer IB in singapore, I've been going through the process myself and its not easy when you are doing it from overseas and can't visit the schools. The programme won't differ much between schools but the facilites, fees and school...

Thanks, I thought that might be the case I've looked at maps of the campus and it does seem small compared to OFS next door. However, the school does have all the necessary accreditations in place and when I contacted them for information they were extremely helpful unlike another school which took ...

Thanks,

That's reassuring, as OFS doesn't have an application fee I guess I should apply regardless of whether it's my first choice. I just have to hope, that if needed, they have spaces in each of the grade levels I need.

So how does OFS compare with the International School of Singapore which is also IB, right next door and has fewer students. OFS have told me I should apply ASAP if I hope to get my kids in for the 09/10 intake. All the schools I've spoken to are saying I won't know if my application is successful u...

OFS

OFS is an "International' School and doesn't follow the system of any nation. It uses the IB www.ibo.org as its curriculum from Primary through to High School. IB is good if you move a lot as the kids can move in and out of different IB schools without to many problems with curriculum differences (m...

ISS International School

I'm considering a move to Singapore with my three children, we are British and have spent the last three years in Japan. My kids have been in an IB school during that time and one of them has never been to school in the UK. I want to keep them in an IB school I've spent the day trawling school websi...
