"In every aspect of life, I think they see the end goal and work out the shortcut. Maybe that's why I don't see much character here. The result would be a fake nation with no real substance to it. I agree to this line a lot. Singapore is a nice country indeed. Its safe and clean. I have respect for ...

illegal

im a foreigner living here for 5 years. I would be able to share some. You can pretty much do everything here. Just don't get caught. Light Offenses chewing gums is okay but make sure you don't stick it under the bus seat or spit it out in crowded places like orchard and city hall. A lot of civillia...

ang moh

Not really sure if its just a direct translation of Hokkien and if its deragatory. But it surely refers to a white skinned person. But its not nice to use it actually, we can use the term Americans, English, etc.... Would you want to be called a chink in the US or Europe ? Doesn't sound nice right ?

RE

I agree to sundaymorningstaple's comment. This is a problem most singaporeans have. They treat thier maids like slaves. Make them wake up so early, no day offs, feed them with bad food. No wonder lots of cases where maids just jump off their hdb flats or escape during the night. Get this: some even ...

deal with it

well i guess those are the pains that a parent should go through. Its better if you learn how to deal with it first. Cmon, your parents went through the same Sh*t and i'm sure they didn't complain much because they love you. If you are working, then a maid might be an option. But leaving your kids t...
