I agreed with keeping it simple. They will know what is going on very soon as nowsday kids are smart...they know a lot of things that we normally don't at our old days.

a 5 room flat rental at $1800-$2400..in Sembawang...so staying further from the CBD is a good idea, afterall, transportation in Singapore is good.

sometimes it is cheaper not to bring any stuff and just buy those in Singapore. Almost everything you can get from Singapore.

It would be quite a challenge to see GPS work in Singapore as there are too many high rise building around. Most GPS don't work well if it is in CBD, same here in AUstralia.

You should try Australia instead, a lot of place for you to dive and surf. If you get use to Japan, you may not get use to Singapore, in term of technology and culture..

maybe you should try something like this site : www.catchoftheday.com.au. The idea is good and everyone go to the website everyday to get a catch of it.

Get a 3G Iphone...that would be great....and you sure attached to it.

It is up to your budget too....that is most important.

Singapore is a nice place to stay, and it is clean. It is important to have a 2 weeks holiday and feel about the place before you make a decision. Afterall, relocation is a big decision to make and it would be costly if it is a mistake. It looks like I am just about to be offered a job in Singapore,...
