Regular social - anyone interested?

I am new to Sing and am looking to start up a regular drink club for expats. I figured it might be good to meet every fortnight or so at a different downtown area. Guess I am thinking for guys in their mid to late 30s to mid 40s, rather than for those in 20s and early 30s. I am early 40s married but...

For a city of Singapore's size you would expect at least a single one-starred Michelin restaurant, but there are none. In London there are 34 one-starred Michelin restaurants, five two-starred and one three-starred. Quite a limit source of evaluating the quality of restaurants, as it is impossible ...

QRM, Please, I know exactly what sort of conditions many maids come from. I am not assuming they are like us. No one with an IQ above 10 would imagine they come from the same sort of background as expats do. However, they have been on maids' courses prior to coming here. If you asked your agent at t...

Hi QRM Thanks for your responses, but I am highlighting to expats what many of them will discover for themselves when they take on a maid. I am only commenting on reality as it will be experienced by all to many expats. Sure most maids do a great job, but there are downsides. To address your points,...

As an expat the thing you don’t realise about maids is that local Singaporeans have grown up with maids and are well used to having a ‘stranger’ living with them 24/7. If you are a westerner, you are not used to it and it can come as a shock. We took on a maid pretty much without thinking through th...
