They are of completely different league. So if you are able to get into ACS Independent, forget about Hwa Chong International.

Hwa Chong International's standard is no where near its affiliated school, Hwa Chong Institution.

My son is also in Grade 10 now and will be either going into the international schools or JCs when we return to Singapore this year. However he will not be required to take J-Pact as it is only for international students. There will not be J-PACT books available as not many students will be taking i...

You may want to try SJI International. Their principal and many teachers were from UWCSEA and their fees is cheaper than UWCSEA. I've visited both ACS International and SJI International, and I am more impressed with SJI International. I heard many good things about SJI International, some about ACS...

I've not come across ACS International exam papers but have seen ACS (BakerRoad)'s. You can try to check with Cherish Assessment on the 2nd floor of Coronation Plaza. The lady boss may be able to supply Secondary Schools' exam papers. For example, if you are taking the entrance exam for entry into S...

It doesn't matter which kindergarten the child goes to before P1.If you are going into P1, you have to go through the P1 registration exercise. The distance matters now that you are applying into P1. You can only put the child on wait list for entry into P2 and above. For SJI Junior, if you are livi...

You do not need to live near the school if you are not registering under the P1 registration exercise. The only year that the schools may have openings, is at the end of P3 when some kids transfer to GEP schools. It is difficult to get into these schools as they have very long waiting lists. Some of...

They are of the same Catholic family but are totally different schools.

SJI International is established just a couple of years ago and it can accept both international and local students. I was told that the Headmaster and many of their teachers were previously from United World College.

Neighbourhood schools are normally built in satellite towns such as Ang Mo Kio, Bishan, Yishun, etc for the convenience of the residents nearby. Hence the schools' names are associated with the area, like Ang Mo Kio Primary, Yishun Primary, etc. But though Raffles Institution is in Bishan, it is not...

Actually, if your children are younger, I recommend that you go to local schools. But as they are already in the middle school, it may be quite difficult for them to get into good local secondary schools. After elementary school or primary school, Singapore kids are been streamed or put into differe...

I don't think you are able to find any entrance exam papers outside the school. However, you can get normal school exam papers from a few locations. But I need to know which ACS are you referring to ? ACS International, ACJC or ACS Independent? Which level are you applying for?
