Thanks SMS. I still have another 14 years before they reach 16.5 years old. I would have applied for PR for them if we stay here that long by then.

We can agree to disagree, but the problem that I face is that if we do intend to stay for long time, so I need to apply PR. Thanks for all the replies. I am a bit surprised that so many people have strong negative opinions about doing this. Just my view, I dont see the reason why I should only apply PR if I intend to stay here forever - that is more for citizenship, I suppose. I do plan to stay 3, 5, 10 years or whatever...
