Breakfast? What's that?

Ok seriously, if I am to have breakfast, it's usually toast and butter with kaya, plus a steaming cuppa coffee.

Heavier breakfasts would entail 3 roti pratas (usually 2 plain and 1 with egg) which are absolutely delicious when it's hot off the frying pan.

A father's friend once told me this when I first went over to the UK and was having lunch with him one day. He said, when you first come here, you'd ask yourself, "How the hell does anyone live with this weather?" and then after four years, when you're back in Singapore you'll ask yourself "How the ...

Good point there Scooby_Does. When I was a student in the UK, what really amazed me was how some of the Singaporean students would forever stick together in groups, from the college right through till out of college, refusing to mingle around or share ideas. Not all mind you but a majority of them. ...

I remember when I first went to England and came back for the hols, things were as the threadstarter mentioned, all well and good. After four years in 'ole Blighty, I came back to hear things like "there's rampant racism in England no?" etc and when I correct them they too have mentioned I have chan...

I think the lack of ethics and honesty in business is really quite shameful for us Singaporeans. That's pretty rich coming from a guy who basically posts meaningless one-liners all over the forum only to advertise his website but not really contributing anything at all to the community here in gene...

Mr.Jelly, I'd suggest in future, get stuff like these from established shops such as Best Denki or Harvey Norman. There's bound to be one in town area.

Sorry to hear about this man.

I am a Singaporean so if this question is meant for expats only, I'd like to offer my 2 cents. Food courts = usually so-so food but there are exceptions to the rule. A great place is a new food court at the 3rd level of Paradiz Centre, along Selegie Road that sells Japanese food. Not great but decen...

biyok's gurl, I'd call the service provider and ask for a breakdown of the charges if I were you. Ask them to explain how they came to that amount. Then the next month, get an IDD card and try them out, do not use your service provider's IDD service and see if they are still charging you for IDD cal...

It'll be Jasper Fforde for me. He's brilliant. After that comes John Connolly and possibly for non-fiction, I'll go with Giles Milton.

I don't see why not as Amber Gardens is not exactly "ulu" (out of the way, in the sticks etc).

sierra2469alpha, I have personally been to studiospace to collect my Sekonic light meter. The place is fairly decent with easy access by public transport. Just take note, it is at the edge of a red light district which can make ladies uncomfortable, but it is an interesting part of town. :D

M1 should work fine. I am assuming by the east coast you are referring to the marine parade area. I've got friends using M1, Singtel and Starhub and all 3 seem to work fine in that area.

URL CENSORED DUE TO COPYRIGHT ISSUES At the same time I'd remind her that Singapore has little tolerance for cruelty to animals, and that if need be you will write in to the papers. I hope my answers are helpful in any way. As an owner of cats and dogs, I breaks my heart that people have little rega...
