We’re getting married sometime this year for sure. We wanted to do it March or April but all the venues are booked. So we’re considering doing the solemnisation first so I can update my PR application. My question is would that help my PR application?

I applied for PR back in November 2023 before we decided to get married in 2024. Originally we were thinking of getting married in 2025, but schedule didn’t work out.

Thanks for your insights. My husband is local Chinese Singaporean. He’s 36 this year, born and raised in Singapore. I’m not applying under the spouse sponsored scheme so just want to know if it helps to update the marriage status.
