I passed JB's woodlands custom few weeks ago. Pedestrians no longer allowed to cross it. I guess it will be much better for your friend to overnight in singapore as JB isnt save at night. There are many budget hotel out there. I aware that baby stuff is cheaper there, however unsure how much cheaper...
