i did my course with FRAS although they don't offer it anymore. the instructor left for australia. skydiving certification is pricey. the prices quoteb by girl next door is probably a tandem jump. i recommend going to Thailand for the cheapest courses. the amount you save there will cover ur airfare...

try out Blue Reef Scubs. very professional and safe (very safe) dive operators. i had a blast when i went with them for my advanced cert in Pulau Dayang. prices were reasonable (almost cheap). gotta have a sense of humour with the guys though.. very chatty bunch. some ppl who prefer to keep to thems...
