Hi I'm travelling to Padang in Sumatra for Chinese New Year and was wondering if anyone knows whether Malaria is a problem over in that part of Indonesia ?

Has anyone surfed near Padang, Sumatra before ?
Is it possible to rent boards anywhere around the surf beaches there ?

Hi - anyone out there into kitesurfing or interested in taking lessons out at Bintan Island? I've been heading out there the past couple of wknds taking lessons and just looking to see if theres anyone else keen on meeting up to head out there at wknds until the diving season begins.
