Why don't you just burn your .avi files to a DVD format so they play on anything? Good free software to do just that. http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/free-dvd-video-software.htm it takes ages to do that, and i have loads of files that i want to burn to DVD. That is why i prefer to make data DVDs instead.
