cold ?

I'm from Dublin, there is no such thing as "cold" here. My aircon only goes to 18 C. Dublin is less that 10 about now. I was thinking of checking out the Ice Bar - but since I'd go in a T shirt and shorts, people would think I was being an ass. Hang on, they think that anyway...... ah well. Damn its...

my reason

You know why I drink, apart from the obvious reasons that it tastes good and they kick you out of strip clubs if you are not drinking.....

I find it allows me to tolerate all manner of tossers who under other circumstances I would find way more tedious.....

Re: Things I've yet to understand about Singapore

2. infinite amount of plastic bags, soooo bad for the environment. I actually brought by own sturdy green canvas bags from Dublin. The kids who work in Cold Storage know me now and they just pile my stuff up for me to pack my self. However one little thing always happens. No matter when I put my br...

after here, where to go ?

Eric, Good topic indeed. Of course, like most foreigners, I envisage a return to my own country to some extent..... but imagining no hassles with paperwork etc, I would go to Alaska. I think that the vastness after small islands like Singapore or even Ireland would be great. Also - I am not too comf...

Good call on WOMAD

Chris

WOMAD is a definite for me this weekend. I heard Sunday is likely to be very good, and (according to a certain Sikh gentleman) we can bring our own beers etc.

So I'm in.

In only two weeks in the place I have been 1) Sunburnt ! 2) Overfed 3) Nearly run over by bus on Bukit Timah (ok not so good on the rollerblades anymore) AND... 4) Nearly bored to death by nonsensical posts, like yours. That's it, ...

Friendliest people I have met in ages

I had a great time, felt right at home from the start. The odd thing was, when a new face showed up, someone would turn to them and say "Hi I am so and so, welcome". Really cool. I was glad to see that UNsing was not exclusionary to the locals. I had though it meant 'non-Singaporeans only'. There we...
