My experience with tailors in Singapore has been bad. The cost is high, the return time can be ridiculous, and the service is spotty. For what its worth, I make a trip to Hong Kong a few times a year and see my tailor there. The costs are lower, return time is 24-48 hours, and you can get a good de...

We were able to do our entire 3 bedroom apartment from IKEA for about that. Have fun, get the Ikea card, and don't forget to try the Swedish meatballs.

Anytime.

As a side note, most airlines websites have the information about transporting pets. Singapore Airlines would not take our terrier, even in the cargo area. We have had good luck with Cathay Pacific via Hong Kong.

There is lots of useful info in this forum (check the sticky at the top of the thread list). One word of advice is plan ahead. We are coming down to the wire with getting all the tests for the December 15th export of our dog. I’d highly recommend getting your hands on ALL your dogs’ medical records ...

I had good luck at the Bras Brasah complex. They have 3 or 4 levels of Kinko-like shops that can meet all your needs.

Buying Golf Clubs

Hi Everyone,

I’m in the market for new set of custom made golf clubs. Any suggestions of a good place in Singapore to get the clubs? I’d also be willing to go to one of the surrounding countries if the price warrants it.

Thanks,
VG

Palm Centro

Hi Everyone, My wife loves her Palm Centro mainly because of the easy to use daily planner, and is pretty set on keeping a Palm (ideally, her current one) for her cell phone needs once we move to Singapore next month. Based on all the big 3 (StarHub, SingTel, and M1) websites, I’m not finding any of...

Thanks for all the info. We have submitted our info to the quarantine station, and are looking forward to hearing back. They said it may take a while to get the confirmation of a space. We ended up using a company based here in Las Vegas to handle the move of our dog. They are using Cathay Pacific (...
