I have a 2 year old and a 3month old and we mostly go around on the train and sometimes buses. I grew up in big cities and consider public transport the obvious choice as I am not a driver, but I would agree that while life would probably be easier with a car, driving in Singapore is not for the fai...

Healthcare is expensive in this country and private hospitals will be a lot more, so if you are no covered by your insurance company I would definitely suggest looking at the public hospitals - NUH or KK which I have had friends deliver at with no problems whatsoever. The other thing to consider is ...

new pregnant ladies group

As the most of the old pregnant ladies group from the older thread have now already given birth, I thought it would be nice to create a new pregnant ladies weekly meet up for coffee and chats. Do let me know if you would be interested in meeting other pregnant ladies of various stages of pregnancies...

I always like shopping at The Gardens Mid Valley mall - its 2 shopping malls in one, with a posh designer section, and a normal standard mall full of high street shops.

I think you will find that some people come to this forum because they actually need help and real advice on settling down in Singapore. I don't know why you have to be so unhelpful and rude about posting - if you don't have anything helpful to post surely it is better not to post anything at all.

Even when arguing the case about over $2.5k rent having no commission payable, most of the agents I dealt with recently refused to acknowledge this fact telling me it was old, and that the legislation has changed. They did however become more amenable to negotiation, but I agree that nearly all ads ...

We have just arrived in Singapore on a one way ticket and had no problem with immigration, however the check in counter wanted to see our Letter of Approval from the MOM before they would let us check in. So really there should be no problem as long as you have all the paperwork sorted.

Looking for High Church

Does anyone know where I can find a high anglican service in Singapore? I went to a very high church in London before moving out here, and would prefer to go to similar one here if possible as many anglican churches here seem to err on the evangelical side. If anyone can help that would be great.
