That is so true, only one word which is Cheap... But of course being one of the highest living cost cities in Asia doesnt means its really all cheap though. There are definetly plenty of choices to choose from, from simple meals at the local food stalls to the more expensive ones at posh restaurants...

Basically both HDB and Heartland refers to the same. Just that as mentioned, HDB are housing provided by the Government and you buy or rent from Housing Development Board wherby Heartland are the little pockets of "town" created by the Government to segment the entire housing district in Singapore. ...

Another place you can consider is at Icon Village, situated near to Tanjong Pagar MRT and of cause, it means walking distance to Rafles Places. There is a good alternative for Solo@Central firstly because of the rental and it is much peaceful than central.

Glad to know that as I am working in Raffles area too...can meet up for a couple of bear too. Been thinking of moving to Hong Kong for quite sometime, perhaps we can discuss more.
