It's an asian thing I guess, while we are going to bed at 8.30pm when I was a kid, my singaporean counterparts are just beginning to have their dinner and then on to their nightly study regime.

I think they work, anyway, the Gloxinia can survive pretty well too.

I recommend Africa Violets, they are pretty good as they only need to be watered once a week, and they don't really need much sunlight. I grow mine from leaf clippings and I don't mind giving some away.
