Yes, it's a good place for skating. The main issue is the travel time getting there.

If your just starting out, my advice would be to have a few lessons. Skateline runs a skating school. Check their website for details. You'll learn faster and likely suffer less injuries that way.

Yes, you are supposed to enable the monitor on your laptop. One of your function keys should do it - i.e Fn + F?? Look at the icons on the function keys and try to work out which one looks like a PC monitor. On my notebook its F7.

Don't be fooled by the hype. You will NEVER reach download speeds close to 100Mbps (ie. 12.5 MegaByte/s). Have you ever bench marked it to see what actual bandwidth speeds you get?

Try the Adobe Classroom In a Book series.. I've found them to be very good in the past.

CAT6 supports Gigabit (1000 Mbps) Ethernet, CAT5 does not. So if you have Gigabit ethernet cards, you will need CAT6 cable to obtain Gigabit bandwidth.

You need to run the Yellow (video), Red & White (audio) cables from the back of your cable box to the inputs on your DVD recorder. I've never been able to have reliable voice chat with Messenger. I'd recommend trying Skype. It's a lot more stable and voice quality is better.
