There are loads of public swimming pools in Singapore. I live in the Tiong Bahru area and my nearest is Delta Swimming Complex near Redhill MRT station. Is has an olympic-sized pool which is clean and never really busy. The pools are all outside, which is great, and have sunloungers too for when you...

Where to buy Newcastle Brown Ale??

Does anyone know where I can buy Newcastle Brown Ale in Sing - either online or shop?

Geordie husband's birthday in a few weeks and, at the risk of making him feel homesick, I thought he'd like the surprise....

It's not necessarily to do with race though - I am mainly talking about Permanent Residency and wondered why that was so important...Not that you have to be born and bred in Singapore, but you have to be a PR. That was my initial query.

Aw Simon that is so sad

While I have no suggestions for what to do on Christmas Day yet, getting together before xmas sounds like a plan to me. We should get some peeps together for a xmas party, or just a drink down the pub with a Christmas hat on :king: and maybe some crackers.

Alright chill out man! I never meant any of this in a nasty way. But I'm really impressed at everyone's advice (including yours earlier - and no I am not "one of those blondes" thanks). I've taken everyone's advice on board and it's been interesting reading about other people's experiences. T...

Excellent, thanks guys. No I hadn't made it clear in my applications that I am on DP. I will make sure I mention that all the time from now on.

A few weeks ago the government was talking about how Singaporeans should be integrating more with foreigners rather than treating them as outsiders, because we are important too. Sounds hypocritical to me. I am only here because my husband got a job here so we packed up in the UK and came over, he s...

Good Public Swimming Pools - Central

I've only just moved to the area and I have no idea where any pools are, can anyone recommend any good public ones? Are they all inside or some outside?

Thank you :D

Hiya. I have found that the significant differences seem to be due to the size mainly...and whether furnished or unfurnished. If price is an issue though, you could consider looking further out of town but near an MRT, it will only take 15 mins on the train! You can get SO MUCH more for your money o...
