thank you very much for your advices. coincidentally, i just found out about Trains N Toys too. there is a store selling RC planes and helicopters in JB-CitySquare, they might have trains set as well, i will pop over next weekend and report back should i see any decent one there. checking out Hobby ...

Thank you everyone for sharing the links and info. I am so glad I stumbled upon this thread. Now, may I ask would there be any store selling within a lower range? Say max S$200? As a beginner and first-timer as well, I am looking for one which is more sturdy and decent than those sold in ToyRUs yet ...
