Just wondering if there are any youthful Americans living in Singapore. I'm from the U.S. and would like to have some American friends (in addition to the international friends I have) when I want to feel like I'm back home.

Don't go to Batam. I went there last weekend and there is literally NOTHING to do. It was my first time there and I visited a few places, and was disappointed with almost everything. You will be thankful for Singapore when you return.
