Thanks for your reply ksl, ive made a police report, but im pretty much resigned to the fact i wont be seeing it again. but ya never know i guess :o im just wondering whether it makes more sense to pay $800 to break the contract...because if i continue with it, its a lot of money to pay every month....

lost iphone, what to do?

Need help on what the best thing to do is in this situation. I lost my iphone yesterday, and went to singtel today to pick up my replacement sim card. They told me that because i've had the phone + contract for less than a year, they can't do anything about it. I would have to wait until the year is...

i tend to go to China One at clarke quay a lot, which is a bit cheesy,(sorry 3333harry3333)... but good fun nonetheless.

speaking of sitting next to someone on the MRT... yesterday i found myself ending up sitting next to an early-20ish malay guy, who had on a pair of headphones (not earphones, mind),and was blasting out really loud heavy rock type music. i was having a bit of a headache, and not being able to tolerat...

is it really that wrong that i chose to disagree with the god that is k1w1? that i questioned him and made a challenge? ... well let me tell u now. i'm from england and have been teaching english and literature at a neighbourhood secondary school since sept 2005. so i do know a bit of what i'm talk...

I agree that the problem is not so much that local kids have an accent or use different words in different ways - I myself have a totally different accent and word...

Oh and one more point - teaching children who sit quietly, do their homework, have enormous pressure to perform well (and don't just flip the bird at it!) and are genuinely concerned about their progress is NOWHERE NEAR the stress that your average teacher faces in state schools in their home count...
