Any tips on places to see and where to eat in this island? We are going for a dive in Bohol later this month and I would love to hear your suggestions.

Well, yes. What would you do if your current landlord for your condo flat is asking $2200 from $1600, while HDB owners elsewhere were asking for at least the same price or higher?

^^ I'm really curious to know where can one find a 2 to 3BR HDB flat for $1800-2000. That range is non-existent now, as far as I know. Three of my friends have relocated into HDBs: 1 rents in Ang Mo Kio for $2200 (2BR), and the other two are in Yio Chu Kang and Simei and they are renting for amounts...

If you can increase your budget a little, then you will be able to find a 1-BR apartment for around $2200-2500 in a good location. I just renewed my lease, but the agent said the availability of 1-BR flats are very limited these days.

Mine took longer than a month. It was during the end of the year, which is considered their busiest time, according to them.

it was a nightmare for me about 3.5 years ago... they start construction early morning (including saturdays) and finish late at night. suffice to say that i didn't get much sleep during those times, which affected my mood, and affected my work!

I don't think I'll miss driving, because even in Canada I don't use my car much these days -- gas prices are just ridiculously expensive! Anyway, looking forward to moving in Singa...
