When you completed the online FDW course for employers, you should've been able to print out the certificate of completion immediately after. This would've included your name, your NRIC number, the date you completed the course. There should be a way to get this though through Singapore Polytechnic/...

Which agency are you with? In our situation, once the helper we selected accepted our offer, she got the transfer letter signed by her current employer and sent that back to 121. (Not sure if you're helper is transferring from another employer?) Then, we went to 121's office and filled out all the n...

I ended up using 121 but before we found our helper through them, I literally had to go from one agency to another and do half of the legwork myself. As in, I went through the biodata stacks and selected the girls myself and they scheduled the interviews. All the agencies (except for maybe 121) were...

Re: Try United Square

Which Marks & Spencers has the maternity range? I find that not all M&S carry the same goods. :)

Not sure if anyone has gone to Royce's recently, but when I visited last Tuesday, I noticed that the owner had placed a "breastfeeding tent" in the area next to the chairs and desks - opposite end of the room from the main entrance. My child wanted to go inside and play but I saw a sign hanging stat...

Looking for Plastic Potty Training Pants

We're potty training our nearly-2 year old daughter and looking for plastic potty training pants (cloth inner lining with vinyl cover and elasticized waistband) - not the disposable "pull up" variety.

What shops carry this? Thanks in advance!

I'm also Asian-American (born and raised in Seattle) and new to Singapore with a daughter who is 21 months old. We'd love to meet other moms and their kiddos! Please PM me if interested in getting together. (I've already PM'd a couple of folks on this forum.) We live near Newton MRT but willing to g...

We have a young toddler (almost 2), and my first thought was: let's get a car! Then we found out the cost associated with owning one, and we gave up that idea. Even leasing a car is relatively pricey compared to the US. I've found the transportation here to be very good. We take the MRT every day, b...

Hi there - I'm also from the US. Agree with the other posters who suggested to stock up! We made an epic visit to Costco (diapers, wipes, a few outfits, books) and Target (toddler snacks, sunscreen, swim apparel and accessories, shoes) in preparation for the big move. Even if you don't stock up, I'v...

We get them in our apartment. I thought we'd be immune moving into a "newish" place - wrong! We found that they slip under the doors in between the gaps. Vacuum cleaner with hose attachment seems to work just fine.
