Yesterday on the bus the woman sitting next to me had an extremely runny nose. She was sniffing loudly every 2 seconds and wiping her nose with her hands. I subtly started sniffing and took tissues out of my purse and offered her one as well, and she declined! I guess she would rather wipe her mucus...

We haven't tried it yet, but have heard good things about the Sunday roast at The Old Brown Shoe on Bukit Timah.

We have had a couple of pretty fun evenings there too :D

Where did you buy the ring from? I send them to Aspial to have it cleaned. Got it in Texas 8 years ago, so I've always taken it to the place we bought it from since they did the cleaning for free. They also inspected all the prongs to make sure the stones were safe and snug :) I'll def check Aspial...

dear fat girl, Now i do not want to sound cruel at all. First of all, you need to determine if you are really OVERWEIGHT. This is done through a BMI measurement. Don't look in the mirror or ask your "friends" or things like that. If you are just big boned and there are no excess fat deposits in you...

Where should I get my ring cleaned?

I'm looking for a reputable jeweler who can clean and inspect my wedding ring. I've lost one of the small stones on the band and want to get all the other prongs checked - don't wanna lose anymore stones!! Plus it's just gotten a bit dull and the DIY cleaners just don't get the job done like a pro c...

I had some really irritating skin issues (dry in places, and constant breakouts) when I first moved here. I tried some of the expensive stuff, but none of it worked. So I went the cheap route - taking off my makeup at night with Biore wipes and finishing with Pore Perfector from The Body Shop and mo...

This was probably the hardest decision we had to make, but in the end we left our two dogs (a 50lb shepherd mix and 80lb boxer) with my in-laws. Our dogs were like our babies and I miss them like crazy, but I know they have a great life - my in-laws have a farm in middle Tennessee. I just didn't thi...

I am here on a DP, and opened my own checking acct at Standard Chartered with no hassles. Just took my passport and DP card. I am working with a LOC, but I didn't even need to bring that with me - just gave them the company's name and contact info.

Lol - I've gotten pretty good at messing with line cutters at the bus stop. I just let them think I'm going to let them cut in front of me, then as soon as the bus pulls up a strategically placed elbow or purse works every time. My little victories give me quite an adrenaline rush :P
