Happy New Year

Hope all your dreams come true in the new year!
Hope prices of necessities price increase is less than the GST increase!
Hope inflation and interest rate will come down!
Wish all members in the forum have a healthy and prosperous year!
Too expensive to celebrate anything, will be staying home watching the countdown on TV

Blessed New year to you sgboy and all the mods, and members here!
2023 has been a rough and tough year with cost of living skyrocketing! Let's pray for a better 2024 with minimal increases and fatter pay checks!

Happy New Year! Is it just me or does it seem like there are less festivities this year?

The usual countdown at Marina bay. I guess people don't get excited now a days + times are bad uncertain. 2024 who knows another war or something negative impact globally.

I think COVID changed things permanently. People are less excited about crowds now.

Perhaps, another reason is as we grow older and how the society has changed. No matter what surely there will be crowd at Marina Bay view fireworks.

2023 has been a very tough year. Cost of living has increased so much. Can't wait to see lower inflation figures soon. GST will be 9% tomorrow
Nevertheless, let's all hope 2024 is better!

Ya GST is a real pain point, only 1% increase but it really adds up!
