BBC Newbie just arrived in Singapore!

Post by Boo13 » Sun, 20 Sep 2009 12:31 am

Hihi,

I've just turned 28 and am looking to make friends with Cantonese speaking people. The reason I want to practise my Chinese is that I haven't been around many Canto speaking people and it's got to the point where I can actually hear my British accent emitting through!!! Shock, shock, horror! So, if you don't mind my poor Canto, enjoy comedies and would like to meet up for a drink or lunch, then reply to this thread.

Thanks for reading!

Wow - that was fast. I guess I'm not the only one who stays up late! My email is [email protected] if you want to contact me with a time and place. If you don't mind other people coming along though, just post it on this thread.

P.S. Thanks for being the first to reply to this thread. Especially since you only have a month here. Do you know Singapore well? :-)

Hi Boo13, I have friends who are CBC, ABC, but not any BBC. It would be nice to know a BBC in Singapore! I am from Hong Kong, and working in Singapore for a few years already. We can catch up anytime. :)

Hihi,

Thanks for replying. I wanted to send a private message. Unfortunately I'm not allowed until I write 5 posts... heheh Well I guess I'm your first BBC friend. It's a pleasure to meet you. As above, email me if you'd like to meet up. I live in Upper Bukit Timah.

Bonnie :-)

Hi Stephanie,

Welcome to Singapore. I just got here a few weeks ago. I'm from the States but was bored in HK. I'd be free to grab dinner.

Hi, I am from HK too, studied in Canada, and working in Singapore for quite some time already. I'd be free to join any happy hour / dinner! :)

I'm interested in seeing the new Korean movie- My girlfriend is a spy. Perhaps we could make it a dinner and movie? (yes, I am shamelessly pushing my own agenda here :) )

Movie + Dinner is good! Let's pick a date/time and venue. But the movie has been on quite some time, have to catch it within this week, i guess.
