Could anyone guide me as to where Durga Puja celebrations take place in Singapore? Do we have pandals set up like in India?[/code]

You could also visit the puja pandal on Rangoon Road. It's being organised by the Bengali Community Singapore. I went there just yesterday

I checked the website of Bengali Community Singapore. The have a PDF for the Durga Puja 2011 giving details of the functions and map of location. It shows location as Rangoon Road, close to Farrer Park MRT exit A. Guess should be walking distance. Singapore anyway is no too big. Can reach anywhere walking once in the vicinity. Well almost!

Thanks Pinktulips, I couldn't find anything for 2011 puja but if it is near to Ferrer Park MRT, it should be easy to locate. Will go there in evening today.

Well yes, it is within walking distance from Farrer park MRT.... and there's another pandal on Beatty road (opposite the SINDA building), in case you're interested. Hope this helps.

Swagata, the pandal on Rangoon road is at the junction of Race Course road and Rangoon road. Take the exit A at Farrer Park and walk towards Race Course road and you'll be able to see it. The other pandal near SINDA is on an open space near it. SINDA is at 1, Beatty road, Singapore 209943.
