OB/GYN needed for High risk mummy

Post by kellden » Fri, 23 Oct 2009 9:09 am

Hi there,

We have just moved to Singapore and I am looking for an amazing ob/gyn for our next pregnancy. I need someone highly skilled in high risk pregnancys and very very prem deliverys. I feel so positive that this wont happen to me again as my first daughter was born at term but my second was born at 24 weeks (doing so so well). Naturally I am needing the best care with someone that experienced in this sort of thing and that we can take and use every precaution necessary. My last doctor found my case too hard and pretty much dropped us as a result and let the hospital look after me (in Hong Kong). So if anyone out there has a referal for me I would really really appreciate it.
Thanks so much

Hi, You might want to check out Dr Suresh Nair from Mt. Elizabeth Hospital (Clinic: Gynaecology Consultants). He's amazing and is equipped to deal with all kinds of complications. He would also refer you to specialist for consulations to be doubly sure that every angle is covered:) Good luck!

Try Dr TC Chang at Thomson Medical Centre. He is the Head of Fetal Medicine in Singapore and he is the go to guy that other doctors refer their high risk cases to. Look him up: www.doctor-chang.net

Good luck

Thanks so much ladies, I really appreciate the referals. It is so important that I get the right doctor, who is not scared off by our previous situation.

Thanks again

Hi there!

Dr Lai Fon Min at Camden does home births and water births including breech births, perhaps you could look him up?

Shalom :)

Sadly water and home births are not an option for me, I will be on bed rest for most of my pregnancy, If you are really high risk, they wont allow you do have a delivery like you mentioned.

Thanks so much for your help though.
