Help... I need a gynaecologist

Post by mummyandalicia » Sun, 29 Nov 2009 1:02 am

I have just discovered at the age of 40 I am pregnant with my second child - some 8 years later! Can anyone recommend a gynaecologist? We have insurance for Raffles but as my last child was born in the UK I am finding this a minefield.

Many Thanks

I am in the same boat - just discovered I am pregnant at 39 - a bit unexpected. Anyway, I had my first here in 2004 and went to Dr Thong at Raffles Hospital. She was really great, and am planning on using her this time as well.

We were very happy there, and I have another friend of a friend who has also just had her baby there with Dr Thong, and was also very happy with her.

PM me if you want to chat more on this. Maybe we can compare notes!! :-)

There are many choices of good gynaes here but there are different styles. Some are more managed birth whilst other are pro-natural. Do you have any preference or medical concerns? I can recommend you some names after knowing your needs :)

There was a poll done amonst 60 women in Singapore, and four gyneas were consistently mentioned...

Hope this helps:
