My suggestion. Forget about learning Norwegian. You may learn the words, but unless your pronunciation is PRECISE, EXACT, 110%, you might as well be be speaking Yiddish, or gibberish as they honestly will have NO clue what you are saying.
Really, it's almost like a tonal SE Asian language, and most foreigners just can't master it, certainly without living there. As my own mother said "Look, ultimately everybody in Norway who is anyone is fluent in English, so as laudable as it might be why bother learning Norwegian".
But you know, if you want to self-flagellate (birch twigs?
